PUBLIC NOTICE OF
BLASTING SCHEDULE

Application Number: 867-0540

In accordance with Federal Regulations, 30 CFR
715.19, and State Regulation, KAR 16:120, Section 3, Public Notice of Blasting Schedule, 4TH
Gen Fuels, LLC., the current operator of Revelation Energy, LLC’s permit 867-0540, 13993 Hwy
550 East, Lackey, KY 41643 will conduct blasting
operations in Letcher County at mining operations
located approximately 2.60 miles southeast from
Ky. 806’s junction with Smith Creek Road and
located in Trace Fork. The latitude is 37o-00’-
35” N. The longitude is 82o-49’-12’ W. Blasting
activity will be conducted on approximately 330.5
acres. These blasting operations will begin 30
days after issuance of the original permit and will
be conducted Monday through Saturday from
sunrise to sunset.

All access roads will be barricaded and the traffic
on the public roads and streets within 1000’ of
the blast areas, or further if the situation warrants,
will stopped not less than ten (10) minutes prior
to each blast. The following blasting signals will
be used:
WARNING SIGNAL – A one (1) minute series of
long blasts from a siren five (5) minutes prior to
the blast signal.
BLAST SIGNAL – A series of short blasts from a
siren one (1) minute prior to the shot.
ALL CLEAR SIGNAL – A prolonged blast from a
siren following the inspection of the blast area.
These blast signals will be audible within ½ mile
of the blasting area.

Blasting may be conducted at times different from
those announced in the blasting schedule when
emergency situations arise where rain, lightening
or other atmospheric conditions or the safety of
the operation or the public requires unscheduled
detonation. In the event of an emergency situation
should arise, the aforementioned precautions and
procedures will be followed.
