NOTICE OF BOND RELEASE 
Pursuant to permit number 860-0380

In accordance with KRS 350.093, notice is hereby given that Nally & Hamilton Enterprises, Inc., P.O. Box 157, Bardstown, Kentucky 40004 has applied for a Phase III Bond Release on Increment No.’s 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 Permit no. 860-0380 which was last issued November 14, 2018. Increment No. 5 covers an area of approximately 104.32 acres of surface area. Increment No. 6 covers an area of approximately 100.80 acres of surface area. Increment No. 7 covers an area of approximately 65.1 acres of surface area. Increment No. 8 covers an area of approximately 86.98 acres of surface area. Increment No. 9 covers an area of approximately 13.46 acres of surface area. The permit area is located approximately 0.80 mile north of Carbon Glow in Knott and Letcher Counties.

The permit area is approximately 1.85 miles northwest from Doty Creek Road’s junction with KY 7 and located 0.23 miles west of Doty Creek.

The bond now in effect for Increment No. 5 is a surety bond in the amount of $20,400.00 of which 100% of the original amount of $369,000.00 is to be included in this application for release. The bond now in effect for Increment No. 6 is a surety

bond in the amount of $16,200.000 of which 100% of the original amount of $306,300.00 is to be included in this application for release. The bond now in effect for Increment No. 7 is a surety bond in the amount of $7,600.00 of which 100% of the original amount of $199,300.00 is to be included in this application for release. The bond now in effect for Increment No. 8 is a surety bond in the amount of $16,400.00 of which 100% of the original amount of $265,400.00 is to be included in this application for release. The bond now in effect for Increment No. 9 is a surety bond in the amount of $2,800.00 of which 100% of the original amount of $43,100.00 is to be included in this application for release.

Reclamation work performed included: All mining area was backfilled and graded with all highwalls eliminated and the area was seeded, this work was completed in the Spring of 2012.

Written comments, objection and request for a public hearing or informal conference must be filed with the Director, Division of Field Services, #2 Hudson Hollow Complex, Frankfort, Kentucky 40601 by Monday August 3rd, 2020.

A public hearing on the application has been scheduled for Wednesday August 5th, 2020 at 10:00 AM, at the Department for Natural Resources, Hazard Regional Office, 556 Village Lane, PO Box 851 Hazard, Kentucky 41702. This hearing will be canceled if no request for a hearing or informal conference is received by Monday August 3rd, 2020.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO MINE

Pursuant to Application Number 898-0971 Renewal #5

In accordance with KRS 350.055, notice is hereby given that Premier Elkhorn Coal LLC, 6920 Highway 610 West, Jenkins, Kentucky 41537, has applied for renewal of a permit for a surface coal mining and reclamation operation affecting 637.72 acres. The operation is located 2.2 miles east of Etty in Pike and Letcher Counties.

The proposed operation is approximately 0.4 miles west of Beefhide Creek County Road’s intersection with US Route 23 and located on Beefhide Creek and Petty’s Fork of Long Fork.

The proposed operation is located on the Jenkins West and Wheelwright U.S.G.S. 7 1/2 minute quadrangle map. The operation will use the contour, area, and auger/highwall method of surface mining. NOTICE OF INTENTION TO MINE

Pursuant To Application Number 867-5368 Transfer

In accordance with 405 KAR 8:010, notice is hereby given that Revelation Energy, LLC, PO Box 189, Lackey, KY 41643, intends to transfer permit number 867-5338 to INMET Mining, LLC, 144 East Market Place Blvd, Knoxville TN 37922. The new permit number will be 867-5368. The operation disturbs 17.15 surface area mining acres and underlying an additional 1841.98 acres of underground area for a total of 1859.13 acres. No new acres are affected by the transfer.

The operation is located 1.10 miles southeast of Partridge in Letcher County. The operation is approximately 1.10 miles southeast from KY 3404’s junction with US 119 and located approximately 0.80 miles southwest of upper Colliers Creek. The operation is located on the Benham, Roxana, Whitesburg, and Appalachia U.S.G.S. 7 ½ minute quadrangle maps.

The application has been filed for public inspection at the Department for Surface Mining Reclamation and Enforcement’s Hazard Regional Office, 556 Village Lane, Hazard KY 41702. Written comments or objections must be filed with the Director, Division of Permits, 300 Sower Boulevard, Frankfort, Kentucky 40601.
