BLASTING SCHEDULE

This is notice that Genesis Group LLC, P.O. Box
152, Isom, KY 41824, Permit Number 867-0505
will be blasting at Walters Branch, Latitude 37°
10’ 32”, Longitude 82° 53’ 26”. The proposed
mine is located 1.1 miles southeast from KY
Route 15 junction with Walters Branch Road.
Blasting will commence on August 15, 2018 and
be done Monday through Friday. No Blasting will
be conducted before sunrise or after sunset. At
least 10 minutes before the detonation, company
personnel will control access to the area. Traffic
will be stopped at a minimum of 1000 feet from
the blasting area along Walters Branch Road. This
will be accomplished by properly marked flaggers
provided by company personnel. At the time of
the five (5) minute warning signal and until the
all clear signal, motorists will not be allowed to
pass through the blasting area. Five (5) minutes
before the blast signal, the warning signal will be
given which will consist of three (3) short blasts
of a siren. The all clear signal will be given after
the detonation, which will consist of one (1) prolonged blast of a siren following the inspection of
the blasted area. Blasting will not be conducted
at time different from those given above except in
emergency situations where rain, lightning, other
atmospheric conditions, or operator of public
safety requires unscheduled detonation. Prior to
these detonations, the following audible warning
will be given: A one (1) minute series of long blasts
of a siren five (5) minutes prior to the blast signal.
One (1) minute prior to the detonation, the blast
signal will be given which will consist of three (3)
blasts of a siren. The all clear signal after the blast
will be one (1) prolonged blast of a siren following
the inspection of the blasted area. Also prior to
detonations in emergency situations the permittee,
using audible signals, shall notify all persons with
one-half (1/2) mile of the blasting site.
