Hello all. I hope you are doing well and had a safe holiday weekend. We are all doing well. Hopefully it will last for a little while this time. I don’t have much time to write tonight and I don’t have too much to share, but no news is good news, right? Blair Branch
The family gathered at Mom and Dad’s house last Sunday for dinner. It is always nice to spend quality time together. The good food doesn’t hurt either.
Michael, the boys, and I have been busy the last couple of weeks with Bailey participating in the rodeo at Revelation Ranch on May 20, 21, and 22, along with our new adventure, raising four Sussex chicks.
I never imagined how much planning goes into four little chicks. It’s been fun for all of us, but the boys have enjoyed it the most. They named them Foghorn Leghorn, Lucy, Judy, and Joanie.
The chicks were given to us by a close friend. She said there were three girls and a boy. Lets hope she is right, I just took her word for it. If not, we will be changing names in the future.
Deidra and Sammy Gibson blessed our family with a precious new baby girl, Kylee Faith Gibson, on May 24, at 5:19 p.m. She weighed in at 7 pounds, 13.8 ounces and was 19 ¼ inches long. Both Momma and baby are doing wonderfully. We are so thankful! I love that little girl as much as I love my own.
Dad, Allen Whitaker, was scheduled to have a heart cath done in Pikeville. He has some blockages in his legs and one in his heart.
Johnny Roy Whitaker had to be taken to the ER, I believe on the 20th. He ended up spending the night. He was dehydrated.
Steve and Marcie Blair have been in this weekend from Indiana. I hope they enjoyed their stay and have a safe trip home.
My nephew, Gardner Allen Jent, and his family spent the weekend in Georgia with Jessica’s family. I hope they have a safe trip home as well. I am sure Opal and David are anxious to see those grandbabies back home.
Austin Wade Whitaker and Joseph Grom V celebrated their birthdays on May 27. Pamela Adams Mullins, May 28, and Pam Blair, May 30. Susie Price and Maurice Collie will celebrate their birthdays on June 2; Pinkie Adams, June 3; Ben Smith and Melody Morton, June 4; Kelly Caudill and Teresa Hopkins, June 5.
I hope each of you have a wonderful day that is filled with all the love and laughter in the world. Happy birthday!
If I have left anyone or anything out, just let me know and I will be glad to get you next time.
