Ray Tackett, 75, died October 26 at his home in Lexington.
Born in Rockhouse to the late Hatler and Maudie Fleming Tackett, he was a graduate of Whitesburg High School.
He was preceded in death by six siblings, Verlie, Goldie, Maxine, Dorothy, Frank and Gene.
Mr. Tackett was an employee of Rand-McNally, and was a member of the Pax Christi Catholic Church in Lexington.
He enjoyed gardening, fishing, and University of Kentucky basketball, and was an avid horseman.
Surviving are his wife Nancy Soard Tackett, two sons, David L. Tackett and wife Carla Loveless-Tackett, and Anthony Tackett; three grandchildren, Elizabeth Michael and husband Josh, Jourdan Loveless-Tackett, and Zann Tackett ; four great-grandchildren, Joshua, Grayson, and Henry Michael, and Alexandria Tackett-Rodgers; a brother, Lacey Tackett and Connie; and his mother-in-law, Kathleen Voils.
Funeral services for Mr. Tackett were held October 29 at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home. Interment was in Paris Cemetery.
