Funeral services for Raymond Isaacs, 84, will be held at 1 p.m. today (December 18) at Everidge Funeral Home in Whitesburg. Burial will be in the Bates Cemetery in Colson.
A son of the late T.D. and Helen Bentley Isaacs, he was born in Fleming. He died December 15 at his home in Colson.
Mr. Isaacs was a teacher, coach and a member of the Lonesome Pine Masonic Lodge #884 of Neon. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and garden, especially his heirloom tomatoes.
Surviving are his wife, Annette Bates Isaacs; three daughters, Delana Isaacs and Cynthia Isaacs, both of Colson, and Elisa Isaacs of Deane; a son, Raymond Mark Isaacs of Rutledge, Tenn.; eight grandchildren, Natasha Dawn, Joshua Beckham, Caleb Peyton, Robert Trace, Raymond George, Sarah Ray, Eddie, and Meghan; and a great-granddaughter, Britney D. Bolling.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Ramona and Katherine, and a brother, Roy.
