Raymond Stewart visits from Indiana

Just a quick column this week, I’m writing at the last minute again.

Happy birthday to Janie Pridemore Caudill, who celebrated a birthday on Sunday, Nov. 20. We won’t say how old she as.

We had a good weekend at Blair Branch Church, and it was good to see all who attended.

Raymond Stewart of Indiana attended church on Sunday. He attended Letcher School and was a classmate of Bob Banks and Bonita Adams, who were glad to visit and catch up with him. He stayed with his sister, Vanessa, while here. Their parents were ‘Mose’ and ‘Tab’ Stewart.

We hope that Marie Reedy is doing better after taking a fall and breaking a bone in her ankle. We missed her at church. Jeremiah

I wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving, and to those who have lost loved ones since last Thanksgiving, my prayers go out to you.

Mary Helen Blair is doing well and was getting home this week. Enos and Kyra were coming home to help her out for a while.

Bill and Joyce Adams went up to Letcher Manor to visit Bill’s sister, Hazel Adams. Hazel always looks so nice and seems to fare well most of the time.

Ed, Cheryl Banks and family, Ben, Jacquie Caudill and family, and Martha Jane Smith, P.J. and Kristen all rented a cabin in Pigeon Forge, Tenn., and spent last weekend there and attended Dollywood and other tourist places.

Pressie Adams’s son, Mike, has been helping her out since Nancy Carol Craft has had a bout with bronchitis and hasn’t been able to help. The whole family is good to keep a check on their mother.

The Letcher Area Homemakers had a large turnout of members for our Thanksgiving dinner and meeting. We had an abundance of delicious food and good fellowship.

Mitchell Dale Caudill has been having some problems with gout, and hopefully it’s better by this time. His mother, ‘Vadie’ Caudill, is doing about the same as usual since her fall.

Once again, happy Thanksgiving.
