To the Editor:
I awake in the middle of the night with these thoughts. I believe they reflect the feelings of many others. Could you please put them in your paper? Thank you.
Who Am I
Why do I lie awake at night/Full of doubt and full of fright?/Why do these tears melt my cheeks/Like the overflow of bubbling creeks?/I can hear sounds in another room/ That sound like the steps of impending doom.
Who am I to feel this way/Is it going to be like this every day?/The conflict between faith and science is strong/But maybe this horror won’t last too long./ Why do I fret and what must I do?/I can’t help myself because I AM YOU!
