Recycled ‘owl’ contest set

The Letcher County 4-H Program will host a contest in which students will make owls out of recycled materials in conjunction with Letcher County’s Interactive Arts Festival for grades kindergarten through 12. The owls must be made out of everyday trash items and will be on display during the Art Walk on April 20.

There will be a $50 award for each of the winners in three categories. Entries should be turned in at the Letcher County Extension Office in Whitesburg by April 17. For more information, contact Letcher County 4-H Agent Jason Brashear at (606) 633-2362.
