2018 is very old and dying. The ancients called the Winter Solstice (on or about Dec. 21) the birth of the sun. That day is the day of the long night. Once past the days will steadily lengthen until Summer Solstice (the longest day). The long winter nights are the period when the old Earth seems to holds its breath as if waiting for a holy thing to happen.
2019 will be new born in a few days. It’s hard to believe the year is past. As I grow older the hands on the clock appear to fly with excess speed.
At this festive time of year I always try to pause and reflect on the highlights of the year. Black Sheep Brick Oven Bakery is now six months old. We are nurturing it along lovingly and having a great time learning to bake wholesome bread products and pizza. It has been and continues to be a steep learning curve. We bake and tweak recipes. We are gradually expanding and perfecting our offerings. Most of all we are having a really great time! We are thankful for your kind support and generous love as we continue our journey in employing and extending the hand of friendship to those trying desperately to reclaim their lives from the shambles of addiction.
May the Lord bless each and every one of you in the coming New Year. We hope it will be safe, happy, prosperous, and healthy.
Black Sheep Brick Oven Bakery is now taking orders for our bread products to all your holiday gatherings and feasts. Sharon’s School House Rolls are most requested. You can always place orders by calling (972)86SHEEP, (971)8674337 or order on Messenger on the Black Sheep FB page! We can now take credit and debit cards. Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover!
We have Wi-FI now so kids and adults are better satisfied not being cut off from their electronic devices. We also have a playground and a walking track so bring the whole family and visit us. It’s a hate-free zone and you are invited! Come and linger among friends!!
