REUNION — The Lee Hale family reunion was held Sept. 4-6 at the homeplace on Little Cowan. About 100 people attending, including some from Florida, Tennessee, Ohio, Indiana, and Michigan. The reunion is held in Kentucky every other year, and Nannie Hale Boggs’s family will host the reunion in Indiana next year. Donnie Adams from Florida and Mike Chalifour from Michigan won the horseshoe tournament, and Dewayne Banks from Little Cowan and Pauline Adams from Whitesburg won the corn hole tournament. The Billy Sioux Band played on Sunday evening, and a big country breakfast was served on Monday morning.

WHS CLASS OF ’95 — The Whitesburg High School Class of 1995 will hold its 15-year class reunion at the Whitesburg VFW on Saturday, Sept. 25, starting at 5 p.m. Admission is $15 and food and refreshments will be provided. WEBB — A reunion of the descendants of Shady and Louise Webb will be held at 1 p.m. on Oct. 9 at the Old Regular Baptist Church kitchen at Mayking. Those attending should bring a covered dish, soft drinks, and old pictures. For more information, call Thelma at 633-7179 or Bootsie at 633-5280.

VANOVER —The annual Vanover family reunion will be held Saturday, Oct. 2, at Hamilton Chapel Church Fellowship Hall on Pound- Clintwood Highway in Pound, Va. The reunion will begin at 1 p.m. Those attending should bring a covered dish. For more information, call Jerry Vanover at (276) 796-5007.

ADAMS — The annual ‘Red’ John and Larrena Roark Adams reunion will be held on Saturday, Sept. 18, at Carr Creek Tailwaters No. 2 Poplar picnic shelter. Those attending should bring a covered dish. Call 633-3369 or 633-7481 for more information.

LETCHER CO. DAY — Letcher County Day will begin at 11 a.m., Sept. 25, at the shelter behind the Harrison Community Center, 300 George St., Harrison, Ohio. LHS CLASS OF ’60 — The Letcher High School Class of 1960 will hold a 50- year reunion Sept. 18 on the Stuart Robinson Campus. Registration and visiting will begin at 2 p.m., followed by a meal at 6 p.m. The cost of the meal is $15. Members of other classes are welcome. TURKEY CREEK SCHOOL — The Turkey Creek School reunion will be held Sept. 18 at Campbell’s Branch/ Linefork Community Center beginning at noon.
