The Buckhorn Alumni Association will host the Buckhorn Reunion on Oct. 17, 18, and 19, 2014. Activities will include music, dancing, good food, and lots of fun for young and old alike. Activities on Friday will be held at Buckhorn Lake State Resort Park with registration beginning at 2 p.m. followed by a dinner buffet. The social hour will begin at 7 p.m. in the Park’s Lobby area. There will also be an Alumni basketball game at Buckhorn School beginning at 6 p.m. The events on Saturday will begin at 12 noon at Buckhorn Lake Area Church with a lunch for classmates and friends to meet and enjoy time together followed by the Business Meeting at 1:30 p.m. to elect officers. The lunch is a fundraiser for the Church Renovation Project. On Saturday evening we will have a dance with refreshments provided beginning at 6 p.m. at Buckhorn School along with a Silent Auction. On Sunday, we will join together for a community church service at the Log Cathedral and installation of officers. All alumni and friends are encouraged to attend. ELKHORN MINERS — All miners and members of miners’ families are invited to the Elkhorn Coal Company Miners Reunion on Friday, Oct. 3, and Saturday, Oct. 4 at Greenbo State Lodge in Greenup. ADAMS —The George M. and Sally Adams family reunion will be held Saturday, Oct. 11, in the dining hall on the campus of the old Stuart Robinson School. SEALS — The 29th annual reunion of the descendants of the late James Seals Sr. and first wife Mary Polly Ann Bentley Seals and second wife Alice Amburgey Seals, the late Delzie and Nannie Sexton Seals, and the late James C. Sexton and Martha Sexton will be held Sept. 27 at the old homeplace of James C. MIDDLE COWAN — The Middle Cowan Community reunion will be held from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Oct. 4, at the Cowan Community Center.
