Hello everyone, hope you are all doing well. I’ve had a pretty busy week. That’s the way I like it.
All of us Howards are looking forward to our Howard reunion and we also like having Mountain Heritage this week.
I enjoyed getting a call from Rose Breeding in Isom this week. I’ve known her family for many years.
My son, Larry Hatton, and wife Linda and I went to Lexington for a doctor appointment and went to Georgetown to visit my son Astor Hatton and wife Rosemary, and we really enjoyed it. If you go to their home you can’t help but have a good time.
When I got home I had 22 calls on my phone, so guess what I’ve been doing.
Bro. Billy Conn has been in the hospital and he’s home now, and we are glad he is doing better.
We’ve been having great weather and I hope we have it for our reunion. A lot of people are planning to come.
I was so glad to get a letter from Glendora Eldridge in Milan, Ind. I’ve never met her, but I know about everything about her. I read her story in her cousin, Charles Dixon’s book and her life and age are about the same as mine. I hope to meet her sometime.
I enjoy getting a call from my son Robert Hatton in Owensboro every day, and I look forward to it. We always have plenty to say. He loves to talk about his four grandchildren and I love to hear it, and he loves to talk about his children and all his family.
I hope I can have some news for next week. I never hear from anybody much. They get their news on Facebook, and I don’t have it.
I don’t see many people and I don’t get out much, but I love seeing people.
I’d like to say hello to Jerry and Alberta Barker for being so nice to me at the Hatton reunion. I always call them when they’re not at home, and also Vickie Underwood for the pictures you sent me.
I really appreciate when anyone does anything for me.
I had a nice surprise visit Thursday with my brother, Hillard Howard, and his wife Marsha of Florida. I was so glad to see them.
I don’t get many visitors anymore and I love company. They are in for the Howard reunion on Saturday and to see Marsha’s brothers, Gerald Frazier and Rokie Frazier, who are having health problems, and are in our prayers, also.
Bennett Welch, I enjoyed seeing your pictures last week of Larry Hatton and his wife Linda. They looked good and so did Doctor Mc- Dougal and his wife Amy. All the rest looked really good too, and I knew them all.
I always watch for that. I’ve been here a long time and I know a lot of people.
I’ve missed Rose Ballard’s and Christine Fields’s news. I hope they are doing okay. I’d like to say hello to everyone.
I hope I will have a lot of news of our Howard reunion. May God bless all of you and try to be in church somewhere if you are able, and if you have any news, let me know it.
