To the Editor:
Revelation Ranch has incorporated as a non-profit organization with its own Board of Directors, and is applying for 501(c)3 status with the IRS. Although Revelation Ranch has been a very active ministry for nearly a year, it has operated under the non-profit status of other groups.
As the new Board of Directors, we feel the ministry of Revelation Ranch has been an enormous asset to the community in its outreach to kids at risk. The afterschool program and the summer program have reached many kids without church connections, teaching them skills with horses, drama skills, responsibility, leadership, and most importantly, have led many to faith.
We have agreed to serve on the Board of Directors because we believe Ricardo and Peri Pardo have a real vision for reaching the kids of our community. Not only do they have a vision, but they are working daily, pouring their lives and resources into many kids and families. We believe their record of real life-changing ministry speaks for itself.
At our first organizational meeting we were given a complete financial statement from January 1 to April 3, 2012. The statement includes all income and donations received, and how it was all spent. We will be happy to share this financial statement with anyone who is interested. We will continue to receive regular financial statements at each meeting. We are in the process of putting in place financial procedures for how money that is collected will be handled.
If anyone has any questions or concerns feel free to contact any of us on the Board of Directors of Revelation Ranch. Please continue to generously support this great ministry.
The Board of Directors of Revelation Ranch: pastor Dock Frazier; Darryl Boggs, treasurer ; Mary Adams, secretary; Nancy Oaks; Susie Flynn; pastor Duane Beachey; and Ricardo Pardo, president; and Peri Pardo, vice president.
