Revival includes preaching, singing

Hello everyone. Hope all had a good week.

We are getting plenty of snow lately, but only a few months until spring. I really don’t mind the snow as much as it being so cold.

I was always a winter person, but now when it’s real cold my joints ache all over. Like I always said, “Getting old sucks.”

Johnny Collier and the congregation of the Freewill Baptist Church of Whitco invite everyone to their revival at 7 p.m. nightly, with good singing and preaching. It started Sunday, Jan. 15.

Marty Allen Fields, a son of Archie and Margaret Fields of Cowan, and Lucille Collins of Indiana, would have been 38 on Jan. 19. He was only 16 when he left our homes, but never from our hearts. We love and miss you. Rest in peace, and happy birthday! Big Cowan

Please pray for the following. They are in or have been in the hospital. Also remember their families: Guy Stewart (Lorraine), Johnny Collier (Ann), Charles Miles, Frank Sturgill (Carolyn), Linda Ann Fields Adams (Danny), Anna Lou Maggard Combs, Dwight Harvey, Lou Anna Fields of Indiana, Ruby Jean Maggard, Billy Ray Maggard of Indiana (Agnes), Eddie Wolfe (Kathy), Ashley Fields of Indiana, Charles Large of Virginia (Pat), Juanita Fields Smith (Marty).

Hopefully I did not forget anyone. Just pray for everyone. I am sure we all could use prayer.

Audrey Maggard Hammonds wanted everyone to know that she is doing some better. She did not have a stroke. They thought she had some mini strokes, but tests did not reveal any. She is on different meds and using oxygen. She said she feels a lot better. She is also giving up smoking.

Charles Hammonds still has some medical problems, but is doing better.

Hazel Rayburn seems to be doing okay. I haven’t really heard from her. Just keep her in prayer as well.

Lucille Collins has been down here from Indiana helping her daughter, Juanita Fields Smith, out with cooking and cleaning. She went back home for a week and then came back. I am sure she is a big help to Juanita while she is getting better at home. Still don’t know when she will have surgery.

Well folks, this is about all I have this week. Have a good week, be good to one another, attend the church of your choice, and pray for one another.
