Richard E. Yinger, 74, of Big Cowan, died April 4 at Pikeville Medical Center.
Born in York, Penn., he was a son of the late Robert Strohm Crouthamel and Marguerite Yinger Steiniger.
He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Delores Gohn and Karen Richie, formerly of York, Penn.
Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Patricia A. Yinger; a son, Vincent J. Yinger; three granddaughters, Amand of Waveland, Miss., and Sadie and Karlie, both of Knoxville, Tenn.; a great-granddaughter, Serenity of Waveland, Miss.; a daughter-in-law, Jan W. Yinger; two brothers, Charles M. Yinger of York, Penn., and Robert Yinger of Spring Grove, Penn.; a sister, Randy Kay Rizzuto of York, Penn.; two cousins, Barbara “Bobbie” Bentley of Richmond, and Gerald “Gene” Yinger of Ashland; and friends, James “Booger” Duncan, Glenn “Mo” Webb and Danny Webb.
