Rifle scope stolen; reward is off ered

A Jackhorn man is off ering a monetary reward leading to the arrest and conviction of whoever stole a night vision scope from a garage.

Sgt. Jason Bates of the Letcher County Sheriff ’s Department said Troy Sexton recently noticed that a night vision scope is missing from a garage owned by Thomas Jackson.

Bates said Sexton took over his father-in-law’s estate and was storing items in Jackson’s garage while he was in the process of selling several items, including the night vision scope.

“He knew it was there the last time he checked,” said Bates. “He came back and it was gone.”

Bates said a drill belonging to Jackson was also reported as stolen.

Sexton is off ering a $500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person who stole the night scope vision and the drill.
