Rita Short falls, breaks hip

Hemphill

I would like to thank everyone for the thoughts and prayers that have been said for my dad, Robert Mullins. He has been battling with his cancer since August of ‘08. He had some CT scans a couple of weeks ago that showed some spots, so the doctor ordered a PET scan to see what was going on.

As of right now he is cancer free and the spot on his lung was too small to determine right now so there will be follow-up scans in the next couple of months. God has been looking out for him and answering all of our prayers. Please continue to remember him and my family your prayers.

Speaking of cancer, the Letcher County Relay for Life has started its fundraising procedures, and if there is any way possible for you to support this great cause please do so. Cancer has touched so many of our lives.

Tammy Adams’s Relay for Life team has several fund-raising activities scheduled, and for more information, please call Tammy at 855-4067 or 855- 7914.
