Betty Lou Collier Holmes, 64 of Jeffersonville, Ind., died February 17 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center following a short illness.
Born in Jackhorn to the late Monroe and Cletis Collier, she was the widow of James Holmes. She was a sister of the late Lois Jean Potter and Luther Potter Jr.
She was graduated from the Fleming-Neon High School in 1964, was retired as a cashier from Kroger, and was a member of Oak Park Baptist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Jill Evans and husband Pat, Memphis, Ind., and Stephanie Hayen and husband Matt, Henryville, Ind.; four grandchildren, April and Blake Evans, and Cheyenne and Wyatt Hayen; a friend, Darryl Harbin; three brothers, Hubble Potter, Pekin, Ind., Wesley Collier, Mayking, and Ernie Collier, McRoberts; and four sisters, Joy Jovenovich, Ohio, Alla Faye Terry, Glasgow, Gloria ‘Mousie’ Slone, McRoberts, and Starla Holbrook, Payne Gap.
Funeral services were held February 21 in Clarksville, Ind. Burial was in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany, Ind.
