Funeral services for Bill Franklin Farley, 79, of Jenkins, were held November 18 at Polly & Craft Chapel of Carty Funeral Home in Jenkins. Burial was in the Highland Memorial Park at Paintsville.
Born at Burdine to the late Benjamin Franklin and Minnie Conley Farley, he was a brother of the late Lois Perry and Ruth Holtzclaw. He died November 14 at Pikeville Medical Center.
He owned and operated Farley’s Ashland Service Station in Jenkins, was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and was a member of Jenkins Masonic Lodge #856 F & AM.
He received the Jenkins Lifetime Achievement Award this year.
Surviving are his wife, Jimmie Ann Burchette Farley; two daughters, Susan Farley-Gallion and husband Roddy of Jenkins, and Lisa Farley Narramore and husband David of Whitesburg; a son, William Franklin Farley, Port Charlotte, Fla.; six grandchildren Tara, Kelly, Alex, Christian, Ryan and Sydney; three great-grandchildren, Madison, Mia and Bradley; and a sister, Joann Blizzard, Vonore, Tenn.
