Rites are held for Imogene Franklin



Imogene King Franklin, 83, died April 25 at Sunbridge Putnum Care and Rehabilitation Center in Teays Valley, W.Va.

Born in Letcher County to the late Walter King and Sarah Aikans, she was the widow of Morris Franklin.

She was a grandmother of the late Michael Anthony Standifer, and a sister of the late Hortense, Violet, Billy, Eddy, John R. Milford and Clyde.

She was a member of First Baptist Church in Whitesburg.

Surviving are a son, Michael Franklin and wife Gayle, Culloden, W.Va.; a daughter, Teresa Fields, Whitesburg; three grandchildren, Christopher, April, and Ryan; and two great- grandchildren, Christian Sean and Evan Samuel.

Funeral services were held April 28 at First Baptist Church of Whitesburg. Burial was in Green Acres Cemetery at Ermine.

Letcher Funeral Home of Whitesburg had charge of arrangements.
