James Mack ‘ Jimmy’ Tucker, 79, of Neon, died March 21 at Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital.
Born in Fleming to the late James Walter ‘Bill’ and Elsie Hall Tucker, he was a lifelong resident of Neon.
He was the owner of Tucker’s Café for 40 years, and also worked at National Mine Supply.
He was graduated from Fleming High School in 1951, and attended Eastern Kentucky University.
Surviving are his wife, Janet Young Tucker; a son, William Tucker and wife Dana of Atlanta, Ga.; a daughter, Nancy Tucker Harbaugh and husband Dave, Hollywood, Fla.; four grandchildren, Colin and Haley of Atlanta, Ga., and Lauren and Cameron of Hollywood, Fla.; a sister, Nancy Tucker Mullins, Lapeer, Mich.; and a brother-inlaw, Lester Young and wife Joyce, Laurel, Md.
Funeral services were held March 24 at Fleming Baptist Church. Burial was in Green Acres Cemetery at Ermine.
Carty Funeral Home of Fleming-Neon had charge of arrangements.
