Rites are held for John Craft

Funeral services for John Wilson ‘Johnny’ Craft, 92 of Jenkins, were held June 3 in Jenkins.

He died June 1 at Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital, and was buried in Green Acres Cemetery.

Born in Letcher County to the late Willie P. and Hattie Hall Craft, he was a brother of the late Paul Craft.

He was retired as a welder from Bethlehem Steel Corporation, was a member of the United Mine Workers of America, the Free & Accepted Masons, and the Shriners.

He was a member of the Burdine Freewill Baptist Church, and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Surviving are his wife, London Bryant Craft ; a son, Goebel Craft and wife Sherry, Lexington; three daughters, Peggy Sexton and husband Mike, Jenkins, Pat Bartlett and husband John, Lexington, and Monett Elkins, Ohio; eight grandchildren, 12 greatgrandchildren, and a greatgreat grandchild.
