Rites are held for Otis Sexton



Funeral services for Otis Sexton, 81, of Jackhorn, were held December 3 at the Neon Church of Christ. Burial was in Green Acres Memorial Park at Ermine.

He died November 30 at Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital.

Born in Letcher County to the late Lute and Cordia Burke Sexton, he was a brother of the late Imogene King and Bobby G. Sexton.

He was a member of the Neon Church of Christ and the United Mine Workers, and was a coal miner for 14 years. He had also worked at Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital.

Surviving are his wife, Madge Sexton; a son, Michael Oneal Sexton and wife Damaris Noelle of Paducah; a brother, Lawson Sexton, Jackhorn; two sisters, Nadine Johnson of Grove City, Oh., and Margaret Peggy Maggard, Columbus, Oh; two grandchildren, Mallory Danielle Billick and Kalin Michael Sexton, and a greatgrandson, Jacob Michael Billick.

Everidge Funeral Home of Whitesburg had charge of arrangements.
