ALPHA LOUISE MULLINS

Funeral services for Alpha Louise Mullins, 75, of Jenkins, were held May 7 at Polly & Craft Funeral Home in Jenkins. Burial was in the Sowards family cemetery at Lick Fork.

Born in Jenkins, she was a daughter of the late Sampson and Della Mae Mullins White. She died May 3 at her daughter’s home in Jeffersonville.

She was the widow of John A. Mullins, and was also preceded in death by eight sons, Doug, Jimmy, Tim, Tommy, Arthur, David, Dale and Richard; a daughter, Kay; and two brothers, Hershel and Homer White.

Surviving are a son, Randall Mullins and wife Lena of Jenkins; five daughters, Brenda Gaydos of Taylor, Mich.; Debbie Rennie and husband Dave of Lincoln Park, Mich.; Gale Benham and husband Rick of Jeffersonville, Carol Thomas of Beattyville, and Freeda Said and husband Simon of Lexington; five brothers, Bill White of Redfox, Kirby White of Jenkins, Doug White and wife Diana of Iowa City, Iowa, Arville White and wife Nikki of Marrowbone, and Ricky White and wife Donya of Isom; four sisters, Virginia Bartram of Jenkins, Mary Ethel Brown of Mt. Sterling, Judy Rowe and husband Roscoe of Clintwood, Va., and Joyce McComas and husband Gary of Hurley, Va.; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
