Barbara A. Jackson Harris, 72, of Martin, died May 4 at Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, W.Va.
Born in Bethesda, Md., to the late James and Bernice Brown Brigham, she was the widow of James Jackson, and later married Cecil Harris, who survives her.
She was the mother of the late Loretta Jackson, Sherry and Janice Tackett, a grandmother of the late Christopher Lee Brashears, and a sister of the late Russell Brigham and Gail Diann Brigham.
She was a member of the Beefhide Christian Missionary Alliance.
Surviving in addition to her husband are three sons, Robert Jackson, Hindman, John Jackson, Vineland, N.J., and James Jackson Jr., Myra.; three daughters, Donna Newell, Clay City, Barbara Sexton, Dorton, and Cathy Johnson, McRoberts; a stepdaughter, Dawnie Marie Harris, Wooton; four brothers, William Brigham, Oleny, Md., Robert Brigham, Wheaton, Md., and James Brigham and Alvie Brigham, both of Hagerstown, Md.; four sisters, Janice Littrell, Thurmont, Md., Linda Barton, Germantown, Md., Carol Cantler, Boonsboro, Md., and Jennie Dluhy, Thurmont, Md.; 22 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held May 8 at Millstone Missionary Baptist Church. Burial was in Green Acres Cemetery at Ermine.
Everidge Funeral Home of Whitesburg had charge of arrangements.
