Funeral services for Charles Lewis Stewart, 76, of Fleming, were held October 24 at the Hemphill Church of Christ.
He died October 21 at Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital.
Born in Pike County, he was a son of the late Milton and Euary Burke Stewart, and had lived most of his life in Letcher County.
He was a grandfather of the late Charles Boyd Johnson, and a brother of the late Cassie Beautrice Stewart.
He was a surface miner and heavy equipment operator, and was a member of the Hemphill Church of Christ.
Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth Fleenor Stewart ; a daughter, Vicky Ann Little and husband Ralph, Fleming; six brothers, Willie Raymond Stewart, Deane, Orville Clester Stewart, McRoberts, Richard Edward Stewart and John Wayne Stewart, both of Jackhorn, Allen Lane Stewart, Millstone, and Roy Hall Stewart, Seco; a sister, Sherry Marlar, Riceville, Tenn.; two grandchildren, Elizabeth Ann Hall and Tyler Jordan Little; and two great-grandchildren, Addison Hall and Alli Hall.
Carty Funeral Home of Neon had charge of the arrangements.
