Don “D.Q.” Quillen, 53, died September 10 at his home at Jeremiah.
A son of the late Sidney and Gladys Oliver Quillen, he was a brother of the late John “Buddy” Quillen. He was an uncle of the late Keith Pridemore, Jared Pridemore, and April Sumner.
Surviving are his wife, Glenna Faye Quillen; two daughters, Amanda Dawn Griffie and husband Kenny, and Beck Fields and husband Jim, all of Jeremiah; a son, Donald Austin “Huey” Quillen and girlfriend Talena Stanley of Jeremiah; four brothers, Bruce Quillen and wife Sue of Arlington Heights, Ill., and Kenneth “Pete” Quillen, Harold “Harry” Quillen, and Michael “Moe” Quillen, all of Jeremiah; three sisters, Betty Bates and husband Beck, and Geraldine Hatton, all of Whitesburg, and Linda Begley and husband Therm a n of Campbranch; two grandchildren, Brian Michael “Tiny Boy” Bailey and Baileigh Nevaeh Renee Fields; nieces and nephews, Brucie Quillen, Therman Begley, Jr., Dougie Begley, Matthew Begley, Jackie Roberts, James Day, Flint Day, Marsha Day, Christy Quillen, Sharla Quillen, Anna Quillen, Harry Quillen, Amber Williams, April Pridemore, Leslie Cumpton, Alicia Fredrick, Sally Bates, Pam Mays, John Bates, David Bates, L.B. Bates, Ronald Bates, Tracy McGilton and Sidney Quillen; and two great-nieces, Casey Begley and Shelby McGilton.
Funeral services were held Sept. 13 at the New Freedom Worship Center. Burial was in William Adams Cemetery at Jeremiah.
Letcher Funeral Home of Whitesburg had charge of arrangements.
