Funeral services for Eligah Sandlin, 71, of Whitesburg, were held December 19 at the Kings Chapel Church in Whitco. Burial was in Green Acres Cemetery at Ermine.
Born in Whitesburg to the late Johnny and Hazel Marie Adams Sandlin, he died December 14 at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington. He was a brother of the late Bill Sandlin, Magalene Mullins and Wilma West.
He was a pastor of the Dry Fork Free Pentecostal Church of God, and enjoyed carpentry work, visiting the sick and spending time with his family.
Surviving are his wife, Jean Sandlin; a son, Junior Sandlin, Whitesburg; two daughters, Cathy Ann Stanley, Lexington, and Delana Maggard, Cowan; two brothers, Dock Sandlin, Knott County, and Daniel Sandlin, Dry Fork; a sister, Martha Landrum, Whitesburg; several halfbrothers and half-sisters; six grandchildren, Tommy Stanley Jr., Matthew Thoma s Stanley, Christopher Andrew Sandlin, Byron Scott Sandlin, Tashauna Maria Maggard, and Alyssa Faith Sandlin; and a greatgrandchild, Aubree Nicole Stanley.
Everidge Funeral Home of Whitesburg had charge of arrangements.
