Helen Louise Potter, 72, of Neon, died October 13 at Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital.
A daughter of the late Robert and Dora Niece, she was the mother of the late LaDonna Bentley and Clabe ‘Bug’ Potter, and a sister of the late Norma Jean Sergent, Don Niece and Bud Niece.
She was retired from Head Start as a teacher for LKLP, and was an ordained evangelist.
Surviving are her husband, Clabe Potter; two daughters, Susie Fleming and husband Ricky of Neon, and Sherry Stamper and husband Bobby of Jenkins; a son, Casey Potter and wife Alfreda of Raleigh, N.C.; 15 grandchildren, and 22 greatgrandchildren.
Funeral services were held October 16 at Carty Funeral Home in Neon. Burial was in Haven of Rest Cemetery at Mayking.
