Hubert Eldridge, 91, of Blackey, died September 30 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard.
The son of the late Henry and Lucinda Fields Eldridge, he was the widower of Ethel Caudill Eldridge.
Surviving are six sons, Emory Caudill and wife Glenna of Blackey, Darell Eldridge and wife Judy of Princeton, Stephen Eldridge and wife Tina of Tampa, Fla., Jack Eldridge and wife Betty of Owensville, David Eldridge of Blackey, and Mike Eldridge and wife Karen of Blackey; a daughter, Verna Caudill and husband Clifton Jr. of Richmond; three sisters, Betty Sue Williams of Shelbyville, Ind., and Stella Shelton and Arlie Simpson, both of Crab Orchard; 17 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren, and a number of great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held October 3 at the Mt. Olivet Old Regular Baptist Church. Burial was in the Uncle Pearl Dixon Cemetery at Blackey.
Letcher Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
