Imogene Griffie Caudill, 85, died February 23 at her home at Gordon.
A daughter of the late Denver and Virgie Ison Stamper, she was the widow of Herbert Griffie and was later married to Boyd Caudill, who also preceded her in death. She was the mother of the late Carmon Griffie, Dwayne Griffie, Terrell Griffie and Sharon ‘Shyrl’ Adams, and a grandmother of the late Jonathon Griffie.
She was a member of Cedar Grove Old Regular Baptist Church for more than 55 years.
Surviving are three daughters, Brenda Caudill of Blackey, Wanda Long and husband Odell of Gordon, and Loretta Mullins and husband Mark of Kingsport, Tenn.; two sisters, Onita Caudill of Dayton, Oh., and Floretta Jones of Matthew, N.C.; 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; and friends, Martha Mae, Zona, Sharon, Goldie, Lucille, Joyce, Sherry, Gypsy and Carrol.
Funeral services were held February 25 at Cedar Grove Old Regular Baptist Church. Burial was in Griffie Cemetery at Hallie.
Letcher Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
