Imogene Campbell Thompson, 73, of Cornettsville, died April 7 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.
A daughter of the late Boone and Mae Pratt Bowling, she was the widow of Bethel “Panhandle” Campbell, and was later married to William Thompson, who also precedes her in death.
She was the mother of the late Shelia Campbell Caudill, and a sister of the late Boone Bowling Jr., Geneva Bowling and Eddy Melton.
Surviving are a son, Ricky Allen Campbell and wife Darlene of Cornettsville; three daughters, Marsha Blair and husband Richard of Letcher, and Frances Amburgey and husband Greg, and Myra Lynn Collins and husband Eugene, all of Cornettsville; two brothers, Larry Bowling and Terry Bowling, both of Leatherwood; six sisters, Bobbie Lichowicz of Warren, Mich., Jeanette Whitaker, Karlene Jones, Loverna Bolling, and Sue Callihan, all of Leatherwood, and Mary Ann Montean of Cleveland, Oh.; 12 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren.;
Funeral services for Mrs. Thompson were held April 11 at the Cedar Grove Old Regular Baptist Church. Burial was in the Campbell Cemetery at Cornettsville.
Letcher Funeral Home of Whitesburg had charge of arrangements.
