James Alfred Tolliver, 58, died May 21 at his home at Linefork.
Born in Jackhorn to the late Wiley and Lonthal Tolliver, he was a grandfather of the late Seth Michael Tolliver, and a brother of the late Shirley Williams, Brenda Tolliver and Dennis Tolliver.
He was a member of Hurricane Gap Old Regular Independent Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Glenda Sue Tolliver; three sons, James Michael ‘Mikey’ Tolliver of home, Keith Douglas Tolliver and wife Vickie, Owens Cross Roads, Ala., and Jamie Scott Tolliver and wife Stacey, Huntsville, Ala.; two daughters, Shelley Faye Tucker, Madison, Ala., and Darneshia Mae Akemon and husband Mike, Hallie; 10 grandchildren; three brothers, Thomas Tolliver and wife Janice, Whitesburg, William Ernest Tolliver, Vanceburg, and Robert Tolliver and wife Evelyn, Wakeman, Oh.; a sister, Jerri Shepherd and husband Don, McRoberts; and a friend, Bertha Tuner, Linefork.
Funeral services were held May 23 at Hurricane Gap Old Regular Independent Baptist Church. Burial was in Roark family cemetery at Linefork.
Letcher Funeral Home of Whitesburg had charge of arrangements.
