Kermit Quillen, 84, of Deane, died January 18 at Pikeville Medical Center.
A son of the late Brack and Icey Kincer Quillen, he was the widower of Della Sanders Quillen and was also preceded in death by three brothers, Kimmel Quillen, Herman Quillen, and Donnie Quillen, and a sister, Lorraine Shepherd.
Surviving are two sons, Michael Quillen and wife Lora of Whitesburg and Derek Baker and wife Holly of Corbin; two daughters, Teresa Lynn Quillen of Virgie and Tammy Taylor and husband Todd of Deane; a brother, D.H. Quillen of Jackhorn; two sisters, Jean King of Jackhorn and Kaye Davis of Irwin, Tenn.; six grandchildren, Kevin, Tia, Mika, Talena, Kelli, and Trevor; and five great grandchildren,
Emma, Allie, Karsen, Shayleigh, and Elijah.
Funeral services were held January 21 at Deane Baptist Church. Burial was in the Kenneth B. Gooch Cemetery at Deane.
Letcher Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
