Rites held for Larry Vanover

Funeral services for Larry Earl “Porkchop” Vanover, 67, of Jenkins, were held September 30 at Polly & Craft Funeral Home in Jenkins. Burial was in the Wright family cemetery at Potter’s Fork.

Born in Fleming-Neon, he was a son of the late Earl and Loretta Flanary Vanover. He died September 26 at Pikeville Medical Center.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Roger Vanover.

Mr. Vanover owned and operated Vanover’s Garage of Neon.

Surviving are his wife, Sharyn Hayes Vanover; a daughter, Ginger Smith and husband Jay of Zanesville, Ohio; a son, Randy Vanover and wife Vanessa of Potter’s Fork; a sister, Charlotte Mullins and husband Kenny of Burdine; three granddaughters, Sarah, Ashley and Morgan; a sister-in-law, Emma Vanover of Potter’s Fork; and several nieces and nephews.
