Lonzo Collins, 82, died October 22 at the V.A. Hospital in Lexington.
Born in Letcher County to the late Bent and Polly Breeding Collins, he was a brother of the late James, Ralph, Hansford, Iva Dale, and Peggy Joe.
He was a half-brother of the late Pearl, Mae, Hermie and Bonnie.
He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II, and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Estelle Collins of Lexington; a son, L.C. Collins and wife Teena of Lexington; a daughter, Lawanna Treadway of Beattyville; three brothers, Rudolph Collins and Colan Collins, both of Isom, and Frank Collins of Louisville; and seven grandchildren, Jeffery, Jason, Jennifer, Jodi, Jessica D., Jacob and Jessica.
Funeral services were held October 25 at Everidge Funeral Home in Whitesburg. Burial was in Collins Cemetery at Letcher.
