Loretta Hall Adams, 88, died March 8 at her home at Pert Creek.
Born in Whitesburg to the late Bill and Opal Polly Adams, she was the widow of Carl Buford Adams. She was the mother of the late Gary N. Adams, and a grandmother of the late Carl Jason Adams.
Mrs. Adams was also preceded in death by a brother, Claude L. Hall, and two sisters, Lena Hall and Lillian Nease.
She retired from Hoover’s Department Store after 28 years, had previously taught school, and was a member of the Thornton Old Regular Baptist Church at Mayking.
Surviving are two sons, Terry L. Adams and wife Debby, and Larry D. Adams and wife Hettie, all of Pert Creek; a brother, Billy Joe Hall and wife Fern of Covington; two sisters, Betty Addington and husband Charles of Pleasureville, and Lora Sexton of Mayking; four grandchildren, Terry Jr., Stephen, Melissa and Larry Neal; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Adams were held March 11 at the Thornton Old Regular Baptist Church at Mayking. Burial was in the Webb Cemetery at Mayking.
