Merrill Junior Landrum, 78, died October 25 at his home at Isom.
A son of the late Dewey and Flossie Hatton Landrum, he was the widower of Martha Landrum, and was later married to Liza Landrum, who survives him.
Mr. Landrum was in the U.S. Army, and served in Fairbanks, Alaska.
Surviving are two daughters, Sherry Barnett and husband John of Ft. Wayne, Ind., and Trena Lawrence and husband Dennis of Republic, Oh.; a son, Terry Landrum and wife Annette of Lexington Park; two stepchildren, Janice McPeeks and husband Christopher of Pigeon Forge, Tenn., and John Amburgey and wife Michela of Pinetop; eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren, three step-great-grandchildren; and special friend, Gary Slone.
Mr. Landrum was preceded in death by a brother, Troy Landrum; three sisters, Irene Betz, Emma Halcomb, and Pat Spradlin; and a grandson, Craig Landrum.
Funeral services for Mr. Landrum were held October 28 at Letcher Funeral Home in Whitesburg. Burial was in the family cemetery at Pert Creek.
