Hester Campbell, 82, died November 26 at her home at Cornettsville.
A daughter of the late Gordon and Mary Carter Eldridge, she was the widow of Evans Campbell.
She was the mother of the late Luther Campbell, Colin Campbell, Darrell Campbell, Billy Campbell, Judy Ison and Betty Campbell; mother-in-law of the late Benton Ison, and a sister of the late Dexter Eldridge.
Surviving are five daughters, Connie Campbell and Martha Bailey and husband Douglas, all of Cornettsville, Pat Ison and Peggy Back and husband Charlie, all of Hallie, and Loretta Holbrook and husband Roy of Leatherwood; a brother, Delbert Eldridge of Hallie; seven sisters, Retha Ison, Rosalee Dixon and Gaynell Dixon, all of Hallie, Carolyn Davis of Danville, Doris Faye Kilbourne of Viper, Linda Birchwell of Beaverdam, and Brenda Mc- Cool of Lake City, Tenn.; nine grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Freda Campbell of Cornettsville.
Funeral services for Mrs. Campbell were held November 29 at the Cedar Grove Old Regular Baptist Church. Burial was in the Hiram Campbell Cemetery at Cornettsville.
Letcher Funeral Home of Whitesburg had charge of arrangements.
