Graveside services for Ronnie “Monk” Dean Anderson, 77, of Randalman, N.C., were held March 31 at the Whitaker Cemetery in Whitaker.
Born in Haymond to the late Edward Lee Jackson and Myrtle Virginia Austin Anderson, he died March 27 at his home.
He was a brother of the late Larry Anderson.
Mr. Anderson was a member of the United Mine Workers of America, and was a U.S. Army veteran.
Surviving are his wife, Carol Anderson; three daughters, Rhonda Ervin and husband Steve of Franklinville, N.C., Kimberly
Anderson and Tony Santon of Mullens, W.Va., and Lisa Caldwell and husband Gary of Asheboro, N.C.; a son, Ronnie Dean Anderson, Jr., and wife Carrie of Franklinville, N.C.; nine grandchildren, Rebecca Salley and husband Jay, Scott Ervin and wife Jessica, Ashley Clark and husband Bryant, Jarrett Caldwell and friend Rhianna, Zachary Caldwell, Brittany Caldwell and friend Corey, Luke Anderson, Caleb Anderson and Gunner Anderson; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Patsy Holbrook and Diane Dickens; and a brother, Douglas Raymond Anderson.
