Walter Daniel Fulton, 90, of Hemphill, died September 29 at Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital.
A son of the late Jonny McDaniel and Verdie Mc- Fall Fulton, he was a World War II and Korean War veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
He was a member of the Fleming Baptist Church, and had worked as an insurance salesman.
Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Ruth Barker Fulton; three sons, Julius McDaniel Fulton and wife Patsy, Richard Lee Fulton and wife Emma Fe, and Robert Daniel Fulton, all of Nashville, Tenn.; three grandchildren, Tonya, Brandy and Samantha; two great-grandchildren, Rianan and Michael; three sisters, Christine Norman, Florida, Patricia Buntin, Whitesburg, and Fern Hall, Ft. Mitchell; and two brothers, Johnny Fulton, Memphis, Tenn., and Buford Fulton, Florida.
Funeral services were held October 5 at Carty Funeral Home in Neon. Burial was in the Jenkins-Payne Gap Cemetery.
