Rites held for William Fleming



William “Bill” Dennis Fleming, 71, died April 20 at his home in Amherst, Ohio.

Born in Neon to the late Pallas and Opal Potter Fleming, he had lived in Ohio for the past 50 years.

Mr. Fleming was retired as a C&C machinist at Parker-Hannifin Corporation in Avon Lake after 42 years, and was a longtime member of New Beginnings Church in Amherst.

Mr. Fleming was a true family man who always put his family first and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandson, and his dog Sparky, who was his constant companion. He enjoyed tinkering on cars, and was an avid Cleveland sports fan.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Donna “Susie” Sue Stevens Fleming; his children, Dreama Kay Sowders and husband Troy, and D’Ronda Fleming, all of Amherst, Oh.; his grandson, William “Billy” Conrad; and two sisters, Pamela Bowen and husband Roger, and Anna Hoskins and husband Bob, all of Pendleton, Ind.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Gloria Faye Kaelin; three nephews, Pallas Hall, Bobby Allen Hoskins, and Brandon

Hoskins; and an infant niece, Crystal Michelle Anderson.

Funeral services were held April 23 at Hempel Funeral Home in Amherst, Oh. Rebroadcasting of services will be available at http:// www.hempelfuneralhome.com/.
