William Warren ‘Bill’ Stambaugh, 68, of McRoberts, died April 22 at Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital.
Born in Seco to the late Russell and Adda Mae Spradlin Stambaugh, he lived most of his life at Chopping Branch at McRoberts.
He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the McRoberts Church of Christ, and had been employed at Adams Stone Company as foreman and equipment operator. He was a football star during his high school days at Fleming-Neon.
Surviving are his wife, Wilma Meade Stambaugh; two brothers, Bob Stambaugh and wife Jean, and Jim Stambaugh and wife Sue; two sisters- in- law, Elinda Meade and Teresa Meade; a daughter, Deborah Ann and husband Mark; a son, Paul Warren and wife Lori; four grandchildren, Kayla Paige, Andrew William, Alexis Nichole and Rachel Mae; and fatherin law and mother-in-law, Paul and Aileen Meade.
Funeral services were held April 24. Burial was in Haven of Rest Cemetery.
