Rites planned for Hayston Roark



Hayston Roark, 71, died May 8 at his home at Premium.

A son of the late Johnor and Bertha Williams Roark, he was the husband of Peggy Webb Roark.

Surviving in addition to his wife are six sons, Glen J. Roark of Bath County, Charles Colwell of Whitesburg, Floyd Sokolowich of Tennessee, and Jarvis Sokolowich, Paul Sokolowich and Dustin Sokolowich, all of Illinois; four daughters, Vickie Mullins and Fannie Irene Roark, both of Bath County, Cindy Collins of Whitesburg, and Diane Sokolowich of Virginia; seven brothers, Glenwood Slone of Payne Gap, Michael Odell Slone of Neon, Daniel Roark, Curtis Roark, Garland Roark and Carl David Roark, all of Indiana, and Lonnie Roark of Kansas; four sisters, Mary Lou Fields of Kingscreek, Dewana K. Combs of Cumberland, Bertha Turner of Linefork, and Shelia Roark of Commiskey, Ind.; grandchildren, Delora Mullins, Hayston Mullins, Glen Hayston Verlon Roark, Marinda K. Roark, Amory Sokolowich, Noah Jordon Creech, Austin Hunter Smith, Ashton Adams, and Braxton Adams, Apollo Portion, and Azryel Sokolowich; and three great grandchildren, Mackenzie E. Crawford, Micah L. Mullins, and Anthony Crawford.

Funeral services will be held today (Wednesday) at Kingscreek Community Church. Burial will follow in the Pearl Dixon Cemetery at Blackey.
