Robber put Neon clerk in chokehold

Fleming-Neon police are still looking for the man who put a convenience store clerk in a chokehold and demanded money from the store’s cash register last Thursday.

Fleming- Neon Patrolman Adam Swindall said a white male wearing dark clothes and a black ski mask entered the Neon Double Kwik shortly before 9 p.m. on January 22 and “dragged the clerk around in a chokehold and demanded she open the register (drawer).”

The suspect fled the store on foot after taking an undisclosed amount of cash, said Swindall.

Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call the Fleming-Neon Police Department at 855-7900.
