Robin Blair is recovering from automobile accident

Once you skip a week of writing a column, it’s hard to remember all that has happened. Sorry for all I forget to put in.

Recently, Della Blair of Blair Branch suffered a very bad stroke and is still in the hospital in serious condition. Her son J.B. and his wife have come in to stay during her illness, and to be with the rest of the family.

Martha Sue and Coleman Blair keep them company.

Robin Blair is still recovering from her recent car accident. She had to have her hip replaced and is in Cardinal Hill for rehabilitation.

Lots of neighbors are taking their summer vacations, because before you know it, school will be starting back.

Congratulations to the Letcher Central archery team, who went to Wisconsin for the national competition and finished in eighth place.

Francine Caudill of Sycamore Loops hasn’t been feeling well.

I was so sorry to hear that Dorse Back has lost his life in an ATV accident. So sad for all who loved and knew him. He will be missed by Debbie, Brandie, Sarah and his sister and brother, and his family and friends.

For many of his coalmining years he rode to work with Everett, Ed and Bob Banks. Many pranks and jokes were played on each other on a daily basis, and many recollections of those days have been shared since his passing.

Hope those who have been sick are feeling some better this week.

Ina Campbell, Dorothy Cornett, Beverly Adams and Ivan Adams are a few who need our prayers.

Luther Adams of Morehead, and Doug Raglin of Michigan, came in to visit for a few days with family here. They stayed with John Combs, who went out visiting with them.

Betty Jo’s sister, Christine, visited while Luther was away.

Melanie Watts is enjoying baby-sitting with her little niece, Lilah, on her days off of work at the hospital.

New neighbors are moving in at the Grant and Clara Blair home below Letcher Elementary School, where Linda Day had lived. Hope the new homeowners are settling in okay, and welcome to them.

Congratulations to Ryan and Andria Adams Potter on the birth of their son, Caney. He is a grandson of Terry and Pam Adams, and great-grandson of Jennett Adams. Sorry I do not know Ryan’s parents, but know all are excited about the little “fellow.”
