Funeral services for Ronald Dean “Ronnie” Mullins, 70, were held December 29 at the Hemphill Baptist Church. Burial was in the Thornton Cemetery.
Born in Jenkins to the late Darwin and Ota Mullins, he died December 26 at his home in Jackhorn.
Mr. Mullins was a deacon at the Hemphill Baptist Church and a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
The widower of Glenda Alice Mullins, he was the father-in-law of the late Kim Mullins.
Mr. Mullins was also preceded in death by three sisters, Joyce Page, Yvonne Miller and Madonna Mullins, and three brothers, Burr Mullins, Den Mullins, and Clifford Mullins.
Surviving are two sons, Dean Mullins of Whitesburg, and Dow Mullins and wife Jen of Cowan; six grandchildren, D.J. Mullins, Matthew B. Mullins, Ava A. Mullins, and Scarlett G. Mullins; a great-granddaughter, Arabella Kinzley; a sister, Loretta Meade of Rockhouse; and three brothers, Ellis Mullins and wife Arta, and J.C. Mullins and wife Mickey, all of Baltimore, Md., and Mike Mullins and wife Pam of Jackhorn.
Carty Funeral Home of Neon had charge of arrangements.
