Roy L. Kiser, 81, of Neon, died April 14 at the East Kentucky Veterans Center in Hazard.
Born in Whitaker to the late John and Oma Barnes Kiser, he lived most of his life in Dayton, Oh.
He worked for the federal government for the Department of Defense as a criminal investigator with top security clearance, and was retired as a federal police captain.
He had worked for several law enforcement agencies across the country and was a U.S. Army veteran.
He was a member of the West Carrollton Masonic Lodge #737 in Dayton, Oh., the Shriners, the Moose Lodge, the Elk Lodge, and the Eagles, and was a lifetime member of the American Legion.
Sur viving are two daughters, Karen Kiser of Neon and Denita Carter and husband Marty of Burdine; four grandchildren, Shannon Collins of Isom, Shequenna Bates of Neon, Michael W. Hayes of Jenkins, and Amanda Carter of Burdine; and a brother, Randy Hall of Haymond.
Funeral services were held April 17 at Polly and Craft Funeral Home in Neon. Burial was in Whitaker Cemetery at Seco.
