Sadie Hall dies

Sadie Imel Fife Hall, 90, died June 12 at her home at Sadieville.

Born in Pike County, she was a daughter of the late John W. Fife and Alka Mae Hunter Fife Fields, and a stepdaughter of the late Pinson Fields. She was a member of the Central Church of Christ in Georgetown, and author of the poetry book A Cloak of Memories. She also had been an Avon sales representative.

She was the widow of Benjamin H. Hall, the mother of the late Hubert H. Hall, a sister of the late Berlin Fife, Zachary Fife, and Gerald Fields, the grandmother of the late April Lace Hall, and the mother-in-law of the late William B. Harper, Robert N. Collins, Can M. Bentley, and Burl Anderson.

Surviving are nine children, Patty Elson and husband Lloyd, Troy, Ohio; Bonnie Collins, Georgetown; Ernestene Bentley, North Ridgeville, Ohio; Douglas Hall, Midland, Mich.; Billie Louise Fryman and husband Garnett, Sadieville; Lillian Fisher and husband Robert, Vandalia, Ohio; John L. Hall, Neon; Vera Anderson, McRoberts; and Diane Pilkenton and husband Johnny, Bristol, Va.; three brothers, Charles Fife, Indianapolis, Ind.; Thomas Virgil Fife, Brownsburg, Ind., and John L. Fife, Ft. Pierce, Fla.; four sisters, Ernie Belle Fields, Phyllis; Ernestene Martin, Live Oaks, Fla.; Hazel Griffith, Morehead; and Clarice Jean Adams, Ft. Pierce, Fla.; and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held June 16 in Cynthiana. Burial was in the Battle Grove Cemetery.
